Fire ants can be persistent because colonies spread quickly and often create multiple mounds across a yard or landscape. One-time treatments on visible mounds may reduce the problem temporarily, but it typically doesn’t address the larger problem across the yard. 

Our annual treatment uses Top Choice as a large application to the active areas where fire ants forage. As the ants move through treated zones, they pick up the product and carry it back into the colony, helping eliminate current mounds and reduce future activity over time.
